If they can’t see it or smell it, make’em hear it. Sound travels much faster and farther in the water so it only makes sense to include a little racket into your fishing. But the right sound is key to catching. Whether using deer antlers to call in a ready-to-fight buck, or a high pitched clicking sound to imitate bait predation, the idea is the same. Make them hear it.

In this week’s show editor Jeff Weakley and Capt. Ray Markham have adapted rattles into soft plastics to bring sound to an otherwise pretty quiet bait. On the other hand Capt. Ed Zyak and Frank Bolin use the loudest of the sound chambers to bring in reds.
