SHOW DESCRIPTION

Skimming along the top, the top of the bottom that is, is exactly what redfish, trout, flounder and several other inshore game fish do when they’re on the cruise for something to eat. Shrimp and crabs live on or in the bottom and small baitfish on the flats live in and around the protective blades of seagrass.

Take a tip from the editors of SWA and the guys that make a living catching these fish, keep your bait on or as close to the bottom as much as you can. Capt. Robert Konvicka and Blair Wickstrom are fishing Texas bottom for reds and trout and Frank Bolin and Capt. Ed Zyak are in Florida skimming the top for snook and trout.
