What’s better than a hard-body? A soft one. The key to getting strikes is bait action, the key to hooking up is setting the hook while the bait is still in the fish’s mouth. Most hard-baits have multiple treble hooks because it doesn’t take long for a fish to realize he just bit into day-old bread. With soft-baits you not only get sexy action, but you also gain an all important second or two to hook up while the fish slurps your bait down.
This week’s show goes from the Rebel State of Georgia, with Capt. Scott Wagner and Jeff Weakley, catching redfish with very lifelike plastic shrimp. And then we head north of the Mason-Dixon as Blair Wickstrom and Capt. Curt Jessup chase blitzing blues with 100% natural baits that ooze slime and scent.
