SHOW DESCRIPTION

Tarpon are living dinosaurs. Not just because they’re the biggest fish on the flat, but because they’re actually dinosaurs. They’ve been on earth longer than any other popular gamefish—65 million years. Tarpon can live up to 80 years, and spawn many, many times.

Tarpon can be really stubborn, a veteran angler once joked, tarpon seemed a tougher code to crack than woman. “The more I fish for ‘em, he said, “the less I understand them.”

Tune into this week’s episode of Shallow Water Angler and learn some of the secrets of catching the “King” of the flats. We’ll have great action and tips from the Keys, Miami, the southeast coast and the west coast of Florida. And then we’ll head with Blair Wickstrom to the number one tarpon hole in the country, Boca Grande Pass.
